Introduction

CatalogMate helps sellers organize products, create catalog links, manage customers, and prepare official WhatsApp campaigns. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use CatalogMate during beta.

Information sellers provide

Sellers may provide account and business-profile information, contact details, product details, uploaded images, videos, and documents. Sellers may also add or import customer records, tags, consent evidence, exclusions, notes, campaign drafts, templates, and payment or advance references where applicable.

Sellers control the customer information they import or enter into CatalogMate.

Information collected automatically

CatalogMate may collect authentication and session information, device and browser information, usage and diagnostic logs, audit and security events, and public-link visits or engagement where those features are implemented.

Connected services

CatalogMate may use the following services to provide relevant features:

  • Supabase for authentication, database, and storage.
  • Vercel for application hosting.
  • Google authentication when a seller chooses it.
  • Gemini or OpenAI only where AI features are enabled in the product.
  • Meta and the WhatsApp Business Platform for connected WhatsApp features.

Those providers have their own terms and privacy practices.

Customer contacts and WhatsApp

Sellers are responsible for having a lawful reason and appropriate permission to use customer information. Importing a spreadsheet does not automatically confirm WhatsApp consent. Excluded customers are prevented from campaign eligibility, and CatalogMate does not sell customer contact information.

When a seller connects WhatsApp through Meta, CatalogMate may store the WABA, phone, and connection identifiers needed to provide the feature. Access credentials are kept server-side. Message, template, and delivery events may be processed to operate authorized campaigns.

How information is used

  • Provide, secure, and support the service.
  • Authenticate users and manage seller access.
  • Store and deliver product media, catalogs, and shares.
  • Manage customer records, consent, exclusions, and authorized campaigns.
  • Prevent fraud, investigate security issues, and maintain audit records.
  • Improve reliability and diagnose service issues.

Sharing and security

Information may be shared with infrastructure providers, services explicitly connected by a seller, or where required for legal or safety reasons. CatalogMate does not sell personal data.

CatalogMate uses seller-scoped access controls, row-level security, secret handling where applicable, and private handling for campaign and financial records. No system can guarantee absolute security.

Retention and choices

Information is retained while an account or the service requires it. Audit, consent, financial, security, or legal records may need to be kept longer. Information is deleted or anonymized when it is no longer required, subject to those obligations.

Sellers can correct business or customer data, remove contacts where permitted, record exclusions, disconnect integrations, and request account deletion.

Children, changes, and contact

CatalogMate is intended for business users and not for children. We may update this policy and will display the latest update date on this page.
